Meet the speakers

Sam Everington, Lead Engineer, Open Banking at Starling Bank

Starling Bank is a digital challenger bank based in the UK, operating personal and business current accounts, a Marketplace and Payment Services for banks, e-money institutions, government and corporates, as well as Banking-as-a-Service. Starling is a fully-licensed and regulated bank, founded by Anne Boden, MBE in 2014. Since launching its mobile banking app in May 2017, it has opened 500,000 current accounts (and counting).

Harley Morlet, Founder at Tail

Tail provides an app for Starling and Monzo customers, that uses your card to get cashback directly to your account. As early adopters of open banking flows, they provide a mechanism with which to ease the process of communicating and automating offers and discounts from retailers to consumers.

Manish Garg, CEO at Reflow

Reflow is a start -up that has built a series of recently-launched products to assist businesses wishing to conduct open banking transfers, data extraction and identity checks. Previously Avinalytics, Reflow uses APIs to connect with banks and merchants.

David Michael, CEO at Streeva

Streeva is a fintech company that uses payment data to automate processes. Streeva’s first product, Swiftaid, is the first to be accepted by HMRC to automates Gift Aid on donations made by contactless.

Jonny Lea, Senior Engineer at Fractal

Fractal is powering smart SME banking.  With their technology, financial institutions can engage SMEs, make better credit decisions and improve portfolio performance. The Fractal leadership team have worked at organisations such as Google, Deutsche Bank and the United Nations. They oversee a dedicated and energetic team made up of technologists, financial, design and marketing experts who are focused on fundamentally changing the way banks and small businesses work together.

Jon Hart, Client Director at Moneyhub

Moneyhub is a financial management platform designed to empower individuals and enterprises. Using Open Banking and applying Artificial Intelligence with behavioural science, it delivers highly personalised actionable insights by consolidating accounts from multiple financial sources and multiple providers into one place – investments, savings, mortgages, current accounts to credit cards, loans and pensions.
