Dan is a fintech sector specialist with a background in financial services regulation and public policy. 

Dan is currently the European Policy Lead for Plaid, a financial services technology company that specialises in connecting consumers, financial institutions, and fintech developers – giving consumers power over their own financial data. Plaid connects over 15,000 Financial Institutions to over 3000 Fintech applications worldwide. In his role as Policy Lead, Dan spends his time supporting Plaid’s European go to market efforts, managing relationships with governments, regulators, policymakers advocating for a regulatory environment that allows open digital financial services to grow.

Before joining Plaid, Dan was Head of European Regulatory Relations for Ripple, a blockchain payments company and has also advised the UK Government on Fintech policy. Dan also helped launch Innovate Finance, the UK’s Fintech membership association, where he was Policy Director.
