Neil Cowley

Neil	Cowley Caswork Manage Small Business Commissioner

Neil Cowley first joined the Civil Service in 1987 where he started his journey in the Department of Employment as an Administrative Assistant. Here, he worked in delivering and managing front line services for a variety of government departments before becoming the Operations Manager at the Crown Prosecution Service. He was responsible for health and safety, security, estates, procurement and payment of suppliers. Directly before joining the Office of the Small Business Commissioner, as Casework and Complaint Manager, you could find him at the Ministry of Justice, Power of Attorney Services as their Senior Operational Delivery Manager.

Although Neil as a Civil Service background spanning 33 years, his family owned their own small business for 30 years. During this, he has seen first-hand the impact that late payment has on a small business and its owners.

Married, with two children, Neil is a passionate cricket and rugby supporter and can been seen coaching several times a week at his local Rugby Club, Camp Hill RFC.
