Thomas Camargo Vice-President of Open Finance in Brazil Mastercard

Thomas leads Brazil’s open finance team in launching Finiticy’s services in Brazil. He is in charge of setting the suit of products and solutions for the Brazilian market while building a product expert sales team, coordinating the commercial effort with existing Mastercard account teams plus setting up relevant market partnerships and structuring commercial agreements with financial institutions participating in the open finance ecosystem, driving new revenue streams and expanding the reach of Mastercard’s products and solutions for Open Banking and open data.

He joined Mastercard Brazil in 2010 and has since served in commercial roles ranging from acquirers, banks, prepaid issuers and fintechs as well as leading go-to-market initiatives for solutions such as payment gateway services, RTP, cross- border and Mastercard’s travel prepaid unit. Before joining the company, Thomas spent many years in regional roles with Citi and American Express in LAC.

Thomas holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, IL and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, São Paulo, Brazil.
