Helen Child is the Founder & CEO of Open Banking Excellence (OBE), the world’s largest and most engaged community of Open Banking and Open Finance pioneers. Working with innovators in the UK and across the world, Helen and the team at OBE work to maximise the positive impact of Open Banking. After founding the first EML Issuer in the UK to be awarded licences by both Mastercard and Visa, Helen became a global ambassador for Open Banking, collaborating with government and industry to fly the flag for the UK across the world and advising governments and regulators in major emerging ecosystems. Helen is proud to be an appointed member of His Majesty's Revenues & Customs Payments Panel, advising on Open Banking strategy. She sat on the Counsel of Lancaster University and is a founding member of the University’s InfoLab. Helen is a champion of women in financial services and an advocate of financial inclusion.
